Adlib Software launched Transform 2026.1 on April 30, a new version of its AI production layer for document-heavy, regulated enterprises. The message is simple: AI projects do not always stall because the model is weak. They stall because the document foundation cannot be traced, validated or defended.

What is new

Transform 2026.1 puts a control point between documents and AI models. The company highlights AI Model Builder from sample documents, object separation before LLM processing, source citations in document chat, human-in-the-loop classification and support for large document bundles.

Adlib is also shipping connectors for Veeva Vault, Microsoft Exchange, M-Files and SharePoint. The system can run on-premises, in the cloud or hybrid, and supports open source LLMs for environments that do not want to send data out.

Why leaders should care

This hits a practical problem in regulated industries. Many enterprises have bought models and copilots, but still rely on clinical documents, insurance claims, manufacturing specifications and regulatory submissions that are inconsistent, long and hard to audit.

For CIOs, compliance teams and business leaders, the question is not only "can AI answer". The question is "can we defend the answer when an auditor, regulator or board asks".

Practical consequence

AI in regulated document workflows should be built with provenance first. That means source citations, validation checkpoints, access controls, human approval for high-risk steps and a clear log of what was extracted, changed and used.

Adlib is not alone in this market, but the launch shows where enterprise AI is maturing: from "the model can read documents" to "we can document why the system trusted this answer".
