Anthropic Launches Claude Dispatch: Control Your AI From Your Phone While Away

Claude Works While You're Out

Anthropic has launched a new feature called Dispatch for Claude Cowork. It lets you send tasks to Claude from your phone — and come back to finished work when you return.

How It Works

Claude Cowork already runs on your desktop. With Dispatch, you can:

• Send a message from your phone ("create a report from internal dashboards")
• Walk away from your computer
• Come back to a completed result

Everything runs locally on your machine. Files never leave your computer.

Key Details

• Claude still runs in a local sandbox on your machine
• You still approve which files Claude can access
• Your desktop must be on for it to work
• Rolling out now to Max subscribers; Pro access coming in the next few days

A Major Shift

This is the first time an AI tool works asynchronously and doesn't require you to be present. Previously, all AI tools required you to sit in front of them. Now you can "hire" Claude as a background worker.
