Google launches full-stack 'vibe coding' in AI Studio
Google has launched a completely new coding experience in AI Studio that lets you transform a simple prompt into a finished, production-ready application.
The new feature, called "full-stack vibe coding," is built around Google's new Antigravity coding agent. You describe what you want to build, and the agent constructs a working app with multiplayer support, database integration, and modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Next.js.
Behind the scenes, Google AI Studio connects directly to Firebase for secure authentication and data storage. Apps can be deployed to the Antigravity platform, giving them scalable cloud hosting without additional configuration.
Key highlights for developers:
- Build multiplayer apps with shared state without writing networking code
- Install external libraries like Framer Motion directly from a prompt
- Save progress and log in securely via Firebase integration
- The agent understands project context across sessions
This is Google's answer to a rapidly growing category: AI-driven app development without traditional coding. Competitors like Replit, Bolt.new, and Cursor already have millions of users in this segment.
For CIOs and development teams, this means concepts can be validated in hours instead of weeks. Prototypes that previously required a full-stack developer can now be produced by anyone with a good idea.
