Google NewFront 2026: Gemini 3 Takes Over the Entire Marketing Platform
Google officially announced at NewFront 2026 that Gemini 3 is now the core engine powering the entire Google Marketing Platform. At the event held in New York on March 23, the company unveiled three major announcements: a live sports biddable suite for Display & Video 360; Confidential Publisher Match, a new identity framework built on Trusted Execution Environments; and the general availability of Ads Advisor, the Gemini-powered campaign assistant that first rolled out to English-language accounts in November 2025.
Gemini 3, launched in November 2025, is positioned not as an incremental update but as a structural shift. Google executive Kristen O'Hara quoted DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis, who describes AI as "10 times the industrial revolution happening at 10 times the speed, making it 100 times the change." The architectural implication: when the Gemini model advances, it advances every Google product running on it simultaneously — Search, YouTube, and Google Marketing Platform all at once.
For advertising customers, this means Search Ads 360, Campaign Manager, and Google Analytics are now all tied to the same underlying AI engine. Google also announced Kroger as a new Commerce Media Suite partner with SKU-level sales reporting, and moved YouTube Mastheads and Pause Ads into DV360 for the first time.
Google is clearly positioning itself as a "full-stack AI company" — from silicon to the search bar — and NewFront 2026 was the clearest demonstration yet of what that means in practice for the advertising market.
