Jensen Huang: Anthropic Could Hit $1 Trillion Revenue by 2030
At Nvidia's GTC 2026 conference in San Jose, Jensen Huang dropped two predictions that dominated headlines throughout the week.
First bombshell: Anthropic's revenues could realistically reach $1 trillion by 2030. Speaking on the All-In podcast, Huang said Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's own projections are too conservative. For a company currently generating a few billion annually, this is an extraordinary target. Huang believes it is achievable based on the pace of AI adoption he sees across his own customer base.
Second bombshell: Nvidia is unlikely to make major new investments in OpenAI or Anthropic. The reasoning is straightforward. Both companies are moving toward IPOs, which makes large private investments a poor trade. Nvidia would instead consider buying shares at listing.
On the GTC stage itself, the headline technology was the Blackwell architecture and Vera Rubin successor chips. Huang announced $1 trillion in order backlog through 2027, which analysts view as the clearest confirmation yet that the AI infrastructure buildout shows no signs of slowing.
GTC 2026 had a broader agenda than ever before: physical AI, robotics, healthcare, quantum computing, and cloud infrastructure. Nvidia is no longer positioning itself merely as a chip supplier but as the backbone of the entire AI industry.
The message for CIOs is direct: investments in GPU infrastructure and services from the leading AI providers will continue to grow in both price and strategic importance.
