Technogym and Google Cloud build an AI platform for fitness and wellness
Technogym announced on April 14 a multi-year collaboration with Google Cloud to embed generative AI into both the customer experience and day-to-day operations. The core move is to upgrade the Technogym AI Coach for more personalized training while a new AI Assistant helps operators and trainers with workflow, insight, and follow-up.
This is more concrete than many partnership releases. Technogym says it is bringing Gemini models into text, image, and voice interfaces, extending its data platform on BigQuery, and using Google Cloud's enterprise AI platform to roll out agentic capabilities across its connected equipment ecosystem. The company is also deploying Gemini Enterprise internally.
That makes this relevant for CIOs because it shows how multimodal AI is moving from demo to operating system in a physical service environment. The model is not just used to generate content. It is used to tailor programs, detect churn risk, support staff, and connect data, equipment, and customer journeys in one continuous loop.
In short, this is a useful signal of where the next AI battle will be won: in vertical platforms with proprietary data and clear workflows, not just in generic chat surfaces.
