Claude Now Connects to Outlook and OneDrive for All Users

Anthropic is opening the Microsoft 365 integration in Claude to all users, including those on the free plan. That means Claude can search emails, read documents from OneDrive, and browse Teams conversations without you needing to upload files manually.

The feature has been available to Claude Team and Enterprise customers for some time, but from April 2026 it is open to everyone. The integration is currently limited to read-only access: Claude cannot send emails, create meetings, or write to OneDrive on your behalf.

For companies already running on Microsoft 365, this is worth paying attention to. Combining Claude's analytical capacity with direct access to email, files, and calendar makes it possible to ask concrete questions about your organization's own data, without exporting anything or switching tools.

Microsoft has already integrated Claude into its Copilot ecosystem, including as the engine behind the Researcher agent and in what they call Copilot Cowork. The latter means Claude can in practice coordinate multi-step tasks across the entire Microsoft 365 platform. The line between Copilot and Claude is gradually blurring, and it will matter who actually controls which part of your workflow.
