CoreWeave and Meta Strike Historic $21 Billion AI Infrastructure Deal
CoreWeave and Meta Platforms have announced an expansion of their existing partnership that secures Meta access to approximately $21 billion in AI cloud capacity from CoreWeave through December 2032.
Historic Agreement
The new deal represents one of the largest AI infrastructure agreements ever announced, highlighting the explosive growth in demand for AI computing power. The agreement builds upon an existing partnership between the two companies.
NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform
As part of the deal, CoreWeave will provide initial deployments of NVIDIA's new Vera Rubin platform. This platform represents next-generation AI infrastructure designed to support the most demanding AI workloads.
Strategic Significance
The agreement comes at a time when AI companies are competing intensely for access to advanced computing capacity. For Meta, this means secured access to the infrastructure needed to develop and deploy future AI models and services.
CoreWeave, originally a cryptocurrency mining company, has transformed into one of the leading AI cloud infrastructure providers, specializing in GPU-based computing.
Long-term Commitment
With a duration through December 2032, the agreement signals a long-term commitment from both parties to support AI development for years to come. This provides Meta with predictability in infrastructure access while giving CoreWeave a stable revenue stream.
The deal comes as competition intensifies in the AI infrastructure market, where companies like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud are all competing to deliver computing capacity to AI companies.
