WordPress.com Opens for AI Agents – Claude and ChatGPT Can Now Write and Publish Blog Posts

WordPress.com announced yesterday that AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT can now create and manage content directly on the platform via Model Context Protocol (MCP). This means you can set an AI agent to write a blog post and publish it without logging into the WordPress interface yourself.

All AI-generated posts start as drafts, allowing editors to review them before publication. This is an important safety valve that addresses concerns about automated mispublication.
